Yorkshire Dales, England

The Yorkshire Dales National Park has outstanding scenery, a range of wildlife habitats and a rich cultural heritage. It is located in the north of England and covers an area of 1,762 square kilometres.

Highlights of the Yorkshire Dales include Malham Cove, a spectacular, curved limestone crag, pretty villages such as Askrigg and Kettlewell and expansive scenery. The landscape of the Yorkshire Dales is made up of over 20 individual valleys or dales and is dominated by the limestone rocks. There are many small farms raising sheep. There are also many waterfalls including Aysgarth Falls in Upper Wensleydale and Hardraw Force.
