The Martyrs Memorial was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and was completed in 1843. The memorial remembers Thomas Cranmer (Archbishop of Canterbury), Nicholas Ridley (Archbishop of London), and Hugh Latimer (Bishop of Worcester) who where executed for their religious beliefs.
