The evening sunlight bathes Kettlewell which lies in the river valley of the Wharfe. Kettlewell's industry thrived during the lead mining and textile era. Kettlewell is now a popular Yorkshire village further up the valley from Grassington. The landscape surrounding Kettlewell is moorland and farmland. The characteristic criss-crossing drystone walls typify the classic farming traditions of the Yorkshire Dales.
